Get help
Feathy is made by one independent developer in France. If you have a question, run into a problem or find a bug, email me directly — a real person reads every message and replies.
- Email: hello.feathy@outlook.com
If you are reporting a bug, it helps to include your iPhone model, your iOS version, what you were trying to do and what happened instead. A screenshot or screen recording helps too — but please don’t send private photos unless they are genuinely necessary to explain the problem.
Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. Feathy has no sign-up and no login. Once you grant the Photos permission it asks for, your library is analysed on your iPhone, and it is never uploaded to a Feathy server.
How do I restore Feathy Pro?
Open Feathy, tap Unlock, then Restore Purchases. Feathy Pro is a one-time, non-consumable purchase: you can restore it on devices signed in to the same Apple Account, and if Family Sharing is on for Feathy Pro, eligible members of your family group get access through Apple’s Family Sharing settings. Restoring never charges you again.
If you reinstall Feathy, you may see the unlock screen first — that is expected. Tap Restore Purchases on that screen and your purchase comes back.
Where do my deleted photos go?
Feathy uses Apple’s own delete flow, so deleted photos and videos go to Photos → Recently Deleted, where you can recover them for up to 30 days before they are removed for good.
Is my data private?
Photo analysis happens on your iPhone. There is no Feathy account, no advertising, no tracking SDK, no third-party analytics SDK, no Feathy upload server and no collected photo-library data. The optional face matching also runs on your device, using Apple’s Vision technologies together with a model bundled inside the app (AuraFace‑v1, under the Apache 2.0 licence).
If you use iCloud Photos and an original is not stored on your phone, Apple may bring it down from your own iCloud library so Feathy can work with it. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
What is Clean Up?
It finds what is taking up room — similar photos, exact duplicates, blurry shots, screenshots, large videos and Live Photos — and shows the exact items and the exact space before anything is removed. You decide what stays. A large video can be compressed instead of deleted; a Live Photo can become a still.
What is Relive?
Relive brings back one photo from the same date in earlier years, so an old library becomes something worth revisiting rather than only something to clear.
What is Tuck Away?
It gathers the photos connected to a person, a date range or a place and sets them aside from everyday view without deleting them. Tucked-away photos stay in Apple Photos, in the Hidden album, and you can manage them there.
Does Feathy upload my photos?
No. Feathy does not upload your photo library to a Feathy server. If iCloud Photos has to provide an original that is not stored locally, that transfer is handled by Apple between your own iCloud library and your own iPhone.
Is Feathy a subscription?
No. Feathy Pro is a one-time purchase — no weekly plan, no monthly plan, no advertising. Family Sharing is supported where Apple enables it.
